Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 13, 2026
MRRbar does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Period.
The Short Version
MRRbar is a macOS menu bar application that runs entirely on your computer. We have no servers, no databases, no analytics, and no way to access your information.
Data Storage
All data in MRRbar is stored locally on your Mac:
- API Keys are stored in the macOS Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential storage system. They never leave your device.
- Preferences (currency, refresh interval, display settings) are stored in local UserDefaults on your Mac.
- Cached metrics are stored locally to provide instant loading. No data is sent to any server.
Network Requests
MRRbar makes network requests only to the APIs you configure:
- RevenueCat API (api.revenuecat.com) — using your own API key
- Stripe API (api.stripe.com) — using your own API key
These requests go directly from your Mac to these services. MRRbar does not proxy, intercept, or log any of this traffic.
What We Don't Do
- We don't collect personal information
- We don't use analytics or tracking
- We don't use cookies
- We don't have user accounts
- We don't send crash reports (unless you explicitly enable macOS crash reporting)
- We don't share data with third parties
- We don't have access to your API keys or revenue data
Third-Party Services
MRRbar connects to RevenueCat and Stripe using API keys that you provide. These services have their own privacy policies:
macOS App Sandbox
MRRbar runs inside Apple's App Sandbox with only these permissions:
- Outgoing network connections — to reach RevenueCat and Stripe APIs
- Keychain access — to securely store your API keys
Children's Privacy
MRRbar is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Given that we don't collect data, changes are unlikely.
